HighThree was designed so that your personal financial information never leaves your browser. This policy explains exactly what does — and does not — happen with your data.
Effective date: April 26, 2025
Summary: HighThree has no backend server, no database, and no API. All calculations run entirely in your web browser. Your inputs are never transmitted to any server, never stored in any database, and never shared with any third party. The site does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising technologies.
HighThree is a static website served as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. There is no application server, no backend, no API, and no database. Every calculation — pension projections, TSP growth, break-even analysis, tax estimates — is performed by JavaScript running in your browser on your device.
No data you enter (birth date, salary, TSP balance, service computation date, or any other input) is ever transmitted to any server. The site cannot collect your data even if it wanted to — there is no endpoint to receive it.
HighThree does not collect, store, or process personal data on any server. Specifically:
HighThree does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other analytics or tracking technology. There are no tracking cookies, no fingerprinting scripts, and no advertising networks. The site does not monitor which pages you visit, how long you stay, or what you click.
HighThree uses your browser's localStorage
to save your scenario data (the key highthree.scenario.v1)
so that your inputs persist between pages and sessions on the same device and browser.
This data is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted to any server. You can clear this data at any time by:
The site loads web fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). These requests transmit your IP address to Google's CDN servers as part of standard HTTP requests. Google may log this information according to its own privacy policy. No personal or financial data from HighThree is included in these requests.
Chart.js, used for data visualization, is loaded from a CDN (cdn.jsdelivr.net). As with Google Fonts, this transmits your IP address as part of the HTTP request. No HighThree data is included.
Because HighThree does not collect any personal data, there is nothing to share, sell, or disclose to third parties. There are no affiliate partnerships, no lead generation, and no data brokerage arrangements.
Since all data remains on your device, the security of your scenario data depends on the security of your device and browser. If you share your device with others, use the Reset button or clear localStorage before leaving the site. If you export your scenario as JSON or CSV, that file is subject to the security of wherever you store it.
HighThree is a retirement planning tool intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and because no data is collected at all, this is inherently satisfied.
If the architecture of HighThree changes in a way that affects data handling, this policy will be updated and the effective date will be revised. Any material change that introduces data collection where none existed before will be clearly disclosed on the site's homepage.
